I found this on Craigslist, the owner used it for a chamelon. It has screen on the front, but she said that it could easily be fitted for wire. It is only 75.00 and they would deliver.
What are your opinions on using this for a cage? What wire would be best to use for it?

I think it's too closed in, cut off from much of the room, for the bird inside, and not enough air circulation.

Reta makes a good point above, but something I'd like to add - lizards, turtles and other reptiles are likely carriers of salmonella. I believe that some carry it naturally and it doesn't adversely affect them. However, salmonella is deadly to birds.

Personally, I wouldn't consider anything - especially wooden which cannot be easily and thoroughly disenfected - a lizard lived in for my bird. Even the healthiest looking/living lizards can carry the salmonella.

I agree with the above posts. It looks too closed off to me. Their cage needs to be one made specifically for birds. Have you considered the HQ flight cage? It's great! You can find lots of info on this form about bird housing.

Good luck and please post if you have more questions.

I would get a flight cage. Easy to clean, light, airy, easy to add the toys, perches etc. I put myself in the bird's place and I would like a light colored and very large cage and of course lots of time flying and playing outside of the cage.
