Hi there, I new to this forum and new to parrotlets
could you please tell me when they be come fully weaned
my friend and I are getting one and want to finish them
off by hand rearing them at what age is this best to do,
they are about 14 days old
Welcome Andy - Sorry I can't help you with your question - I haven't a clue myself - Hand-rearing is best left to the experts - there is a member named Catfish that may be able to help you - Hopefully he'll see your post.
Good Luck.

Andy please don't be offended by this but if you have to ask that question then you probably should let the breeder wean them, they will still bond to you. Weaning the babies can be tricky...Catfish will be the one to tell you about the difficulty. He has a thread about crop burn, I had never heard of it. Maybe Catfish will see this and post. Why not let the breeder wean your baby? I wuld be to scared of making a mistake and losing my little bird. No offense meant.
Hey Andy! Welcome to the site :) .

Welcome Andy!
Welcome aboard Andy!
Are the babies presently being hand raised or are they being parent raised? Also, do you have experience hand feeding small baby birds?
Regards,
Art S.

i am the friend who is finishing off hand rearing the parroletts for andy.
yes i have hand reared before, 2 green cheek conures and a budgie.
this will be my first parrotlett, but i have had other parrots.
