I just signed up for this forum, since I'll be getting a parrotlet in about a week or so. It's almost 5 AM in the morning, and I'm really antsy since I'm excited about the little dude I'll be seeing soon. (I'm still working on his name.) Anyway, since everyone else I know is asleep right now, I've decided to post a link to the slideshow (http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v197/ickleruthiekins/?action=view¤t=1172402625.pbw) I made of the four pictures the breeder sent me earlier of him! :p

Hello and welcome to the site!
I only watched a few seconds of the slideshow and have seen only 2 pictures so far. But as far as I can tell, he looks like an absolute cutie.
Please keep us posted on how it goes! And of course...more pictures! :D

He looks adorable! Welcome!
Welcome aboard!
The first thing that come to mind for a name is 'Little Boy Blue' but that will only work if it's a boy ;) . Very cute!

You know, after reading the posts, I actually DID consider "Little Boy Blue" for his name! Cause that's exactly what I think about him! A little boy parrotlet who's blue colored. But I knew from the start I had to find a name that ends in a -y or -ie, because I know I have that tendency to "butcher" pet names into something that ends in a -y or -ie. (My dog who was named Icmal, pronounced "Ice-mull" for some weird reason I don't know because my cousin who gave her to us named her, I liked calling "Icmally", and my lovebird that I had a few years ago was formally named SweetPea but I very creatively referred to as Birdie.) So I ended up going to some rhyming dictionary site and looked up words that rhymed with "we"....and scanned through that. I think I kind of like the name "Dinky," because parrotlets are dinky looking little birds that are adorable of course! So he shall be Dinky, my little dude, my little boy blue. :D That shall be my plan for now.
Note: I know the definition of "dinky" includes "unimportant," but the point of the thing is that it is a complete paradox because he's anything but a dinky matter to me!
Congrats on the name. I like Dinky.
Here's a little useless fact about the name Dinky: In Princeton, NJ there is a one car passenger train that runs between the Princeton University campus and the main Boston-NY-Philly-washington train line. It was built during the civil war and has been in use ever since. It is the shortest regularly scheduled passenger train route in the country. And most importantly, it's affectionately known as "The Dinky".
