Want to know what everyone thinks about what this person is writing about Parrotlets.....

Pellets are the ideal foundation of your Parrotlets diet. Organic pellets are the best because they don’t introduce harmful chemicals into your bird’s diet. Fresh fruits and veggies are imperative for a healthy bird.
Common fruits and vegetables include: Broccoli, spinach, apples, bananas, melon, oranges, berries, carrots, sweet peppers, and celery. Do not feed your Parrotlet avocados, caffeine, chocolate, or alcohol – they are toxic. Fruits and veggies will take up about 30% of your bird’s diet. Always make sure to wash your fruits and veggies to remove pesticides.

It depends on the pellet. Some organic pellet companies have little research on their products, and it's hard to tell if complete nutrition is offered. Harrison's who make an organic pellet probably have done the most testing of any company out there including the non-organics.

My preference is a natural, whole foods diet, but I do recommend Harrison's for people who don't have the time or desire to make up a varied, nutritious diet for their parrots.

The diet I feed (with extra nuts for the Macaw and Grey) is about 45% fresh vegetables, 5 to 10% fruit, 30% sprouted and cooked grains, 15% fully sprouted or cooked legumes, some seed, a few pellets for the bigger birds, and natural supplements.

Organic pellets? Are those pellets grown on free-range farms? ;)
