I am teaching Zazu a trick!!

Zazu is learning how to play dead and it is working!! I hope to teach him how to bring his foot toy to me, he also is learning to talk. Does anybody have a parrotlet that does tricks and how did you teach them? Thanks for any info, Melissa & Zazu

Well I have had him since he was 3 weeks old and started setting him on his back in my hand and he does really good, then I give him a treat like a piece of millet, millet spray etc. then I rub him on his neck or belly while he is on his back and it relaxs him!! I plan on teaching him to bring his toys back to me. He is learning to talk at 10 weeks old hes still at the gurgling stage but I thought I heard him say pretty bird the other day, I think he learned this by one of my cockatiels because I didn't teach him that word!! You should be careful not to rub on the belly or neck after the bird becomes mature- it can frustrate them
