Phil I think is on Long Island, Is that close enough? Phil, where are you? From all accounts, he has wonderful, socialized babies.

What about looking on PetFinder to adopt? Just a suggestion.

Hi, I'm located on Long Island. Its not a bad ride when you use the Bridgeport Ferry. What are you looking for and what is your time frame on getting a new bird.

Reta thank you for thinking of me, but is it proper to sell a bird through this forum site. I would not want to break any rules. I really enjoy the forum and have gained a lot of infomation about parrotlets here.

It has also given me the opportunity to follow several of my birds that have gone to some of our wonderful members. I am always happy to hear how they are doing. I worry about them so much once they leave for their permenant home, and this forum has allowed me to follow them as mature.

Thank you again
Phil

Phil, the forum rules include one that you can't advertise or self-promote. Other members certainly can recommend you though! If you have someone interested in buying a bird, probably best to p.m. them and then start exchanging e-mails, with the business details off the list. Though of course we want to hear who is getting a new baby from you!

Phil,
I for one, always appreciate when you post with so much interesting info for us newbies. I wished you posted more and shared pics of your parrotlets. We could all learn from you, and I don't at all look at it as you trying to promote yourself. I would love to see more discussion in the breeding section of this forum. I bought the handbook and read it and found it most interesting, but some of the info is outdated. It seems that in parrotlets, the ethical breeders (such as yourself) out there are the ones that have the ability to educate us newbies with factual information. The web is full of a lot of iffy info on parrotlets, though I've found some factual stuff too. Anyway, I have always loved a picture of yours with a line up of babies on a perch of all different colors. They sure do look like marshmallow peeps. Hope you will share more pics of your birds. Fatherofseven, you too! I have so enjoyed yours also.

Gina,

I'm about 20 miles from the ferry. I was in Bridgeport a few weeks ago I have projects going on in Litchfield and Shelton.

I will be out of town until Tuesday. But if you can tell me what you're looking for I may be able to help. I will be available by email if you would like to get in touch.

With JoJo just passing I miss him terribly. I would really like to get another one as soon as possible to fill this void in my heart. I don't want to get one from a pet store (JoJo was from a listing on Craig;s List) I would much prefer a breeder. Could someone point me in the right direction. I live in a small town just 26 miles from Rochester,NY. Any suggestions would be wonderful.
Thanks,
Kathy

I have 4 eggs due to start hatching wed. 2 are taken and two are possibly taken. The 2 possibles may decide to wait for a while, in which case I will have one ready mid feb. We are in southern new york state just north on NYC.
PM me if you want to talk some more about them.:) thanks.
Jen.

Phil,

That's excellent this forum allows you the opportunity to follow your babies. The fact the you are showing interest after they are placed with a new owner tells me you care about them very much. I'm in in the market for another one. But if I were visiting in the NJ or NY area , I would make a special effort to go see you because of that. I like the fact that you care enough to follow them. That's nice.

Hope to read more on your responses and have you post some general topics in the threads.

Best of Luck,

Trice

I have a little clutch of 6 eggs that just started hatching the day before yesterday. 2 Hatched so far, they will be supertame, if you are coming thru the NY area the end of May :)
