Boy can they get mad at you if they want to !!!!! I left town for two days and came back and Montgomery was so mad at me that if I got within few feet of his cage; he was puffed (as much as he can get with half his feathers) and decided he wanted to take apart any part of me that tried to touch him, or Daisy, or the cage, or the light next to the cage, etc..... The next day, after I had done some serious parrotlet butt kissing, he was back to normal. What a little psycho. :D

LOL I have had 2 evenings in a row when I was home after 8pm. Well he is used to cuddles and bed by 7:30 so imagine this indignant ball of feathers giving me $#!* for not spending enough time with him and then whisking him off to bed lickety-split. Yup I was in T*R*O*U*B*L*E  Mornings were a bit rangy too!

They expect us to work our schedules around them...we are truly slaves to the birds. If I'm out late, I'm phoning home to ensure that my boys get all the birds situated for the night. They all have different routines and seem to let me off the hook as long as I don't make it a habit. :)

I think that Montgomery is trying to impress Daisy when he's bitter, because the minute she takes off or gets on my shoulder, he gives me this look of helplessness. Basically, he's letting me know that if I dont pay attention to him and get him back with his girlfriend, he will make me feel bad about it. Very effective. Little buggers.

Aah I so love the parrotlets personality and still miss it everyday. I think Pickles has placed herself in Gizmo as she is starting to do some of the pitiful looks and the I must find mom searches like Pickles did.
