Here is my new baby Gizmo, already he has captured my heart. When I went to the store he rode on my finger and picked out a toy he would like.

He didn't particularly like the indiginity of riding in a box to come home so he sat on my shoulder and made sure the cars drove at the correct speed. He loves to be scratched and will even lay on his back (not tried it yet but he did it for the pet store lady) he needs work on step up but its so nice to have a bird that isn't scared of his own shadow. My daughter and husband described his pineapple color as being a pre-k art project gone wrong. Right now he is settling into his cage which I had to close the door on or he would be out of it and sat on me.

He will greatly help heal the pain from losing my Princess Pickles but I will always remember her sweet and sassy nature.

He's beautiful! Enjoy him... conures are such a treat! Our gcc was always like velcro. He also rode home from the breeder on our shoulders. He also loved quick car rides to the mail kiosk whilst... sitting on the steering wheel. We truly enjoyed our gcc's silly acrobatic attention seeking antics.

Hi is a pineapple conure, and is so sweet its unbelievable. I saw him before I got Pickles but shied away due to the price, but now I am so glad I have him. He really wants human interaction and has settled in so easilly. I read that you are supposed to keep new birds in their cages for a few days to get them accustomed to the settings, when I tried this he sat as close as he could to me and scowled until I let him out. So far he has re-styled my 8 year olds hair and is totally in awe of my glasses. He purrs like a kitten which is so sweet and I heard him say something while he was looking out of the window (not sure what it was). Pickles was my little princess and I will miss her for always but I feel that he was supposed to be my baby and he just waited for me until I realised he was mine.

The little bugger tried to drink my wine tonight (he didn't get any) and loves to like the condensation off of any drinks he can get to.

He is now my little angel and I will treasure him for hopefully a long long time.

He does help a lot, I think Pickles sent him trained up to her level to make it easier on me. :)

Oh Lisa,
What a beautiful bird he is! I love so many of the conures. I'm so happy you got him to help heal your heart. Please do share more photos of him. I'd love to see more of him and read about what he's like. I LOVE his colors! Congratulations to Gizmo too on finding a great family!

I will take some more pictures, last night he played on Pickles playpen and thought it was pretty cool, he also enjoyed watching tv. It is so cool he is just an inquisitive little child who wants to get into everything thats new. I did buy him the proper conure food but I think they gave him a lot of seed so I'm going to have to slowly change him to a more fresh fruit and veg.

Now a question, the great play area that everyone has, do you think it would be too small for Gizmo ? Being that he's a pineapple conure he's quite a bit smaller than a sun, i wonder as I loved that area and always planned it for christmas.
