Do parrotlets need grits? I know some birds do; do you give it to your fids? And what is it/what does it do? I know the general idea, but I don't really know much about it. Thanks!

Parrots DO NOT need grit. However I think canaries and finches do.

In fact, I have read you should NOT give them grit.

No grit. Cuttle bones are good. I also just bought a mineral block today. Good for the beak. They will get calcium that way.http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v492/Sally11/bathtm.jpg
