I have a question about those cup veggies (Apple Harvest, etc) from Beak Appetit.

I don't want to make the WHOLE cup. Is there anyway to cook it without using the cup? :o

I've cooked half of it. I open the package, take the plastic bag out of the cup, pour about half the mixture into a microwavable bowl. I add half the amount of water in the instructions, and microwave. I microwave it in a small pyrex type bowl that has a plastic lid that goes with it so I can store leftovers in the fridge. It cooks up just fine this way, only using half.

Then I close the dry remainder in its plastic bag, secure it with a rubber band and close it back up in the cup for next time.

I cook all of the foods a bit at a time using a pyrex measuring cup.

Good idea with the measuring cup. does the beak appetite last for a while or do you just use it as a treat / supplement to your main food?

I feed it twice a day with MANY other foods to choose from. I make enough for a couple of days. Then I make more. I make all kinds of foods and order lots of foods to cook. I give her pasta and rice, couscous etc. She loves to go here and there getting all kinds of food.

How do you warm it up?

Can you put it in ice cube trays?

That does sound interesting. Just a regular measuring cup? Do you cover it? How long do you let it cook in how much water??

I don't like to measure, ha. I use a Pyrex measuring cup. I pour an inch or two of Beak Appetit in and cover with water, then I microwave it for one minute. Then it sits and absorbs the water. Then it cools.
