We haven't heard from Pado in awhile - hope it's something fun he's doing, like a vacation!

I just came on here to make a topic about him. Hopefully like Reta said, he's on vacation.

I know that Pado needed a bit of a break but he didn't mention that he was taking one. One (or more) of you should send him a PM and tell him that he is missed - it would mean more coming from the memership than from the guy that dragged him into the moderator roll...:D ;) .

Regards,

Art S.

Art I left for a long time because it hurt my feelings that so many little p'lets were getting carlessly injured and dying. I only came back when I read about Sparky and now......Nemo. I have a hard time being sympathetic. I thought it was best I stayed away and just lurked here.

Memmey, it is very hard to hear when the Parrotlets die. I understand completely. I hope we have no more sad losses. I hope Pado is back with us soon!

I just had surgery six days ago and I have enjoyed being able to be on my laptop in my comfy chair as recovery begins.

Sally how have you and the princess bird been. Have you been ill? I have to say that I have missed talking with the old members.
When I read about my friend Sparky I had to post and now Kathy and her sweet boy Nemo, I pray that this will resolve itself for the good whatever way it is intended. My heart breaks for her.

Maybe I'll stay to tease Art and Pado but right now I don't feel funny because of Nemo.

I hope you recover soon,
Mem

I have had some health stuff this spring. One thing after another. I am in my chair, on my laptop recovering now. I HOPE I will soon be feeling good. Lots of pain and I can't take pain pills. NO fun!

Chipper is her usual self! She is really getting lots of atten. from my hubby. He has to feed her etc now. She sits on him a lot now. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v492/Sally11/bell.jpg

Sally -- sure hope that you have a quick recovery. Glad to hear Chipper has your hubby caring for her so you can focus on your health. Take care and hope to hear you're better real soon.

I have been thinking about this for a while, but hesitated to say anything. But I agree, it is heartrending to read about these precious, innocent little lives being broken or lost through what seems like inattention or carelessness. :(

This thread has gone off topic, and I'm still hoping Pado will come back and join us!

I do agree with you on this - we are responsible for the lives of these wonderful P'lets just as with other pets, and sometimes it sounds as if people just aren't paying enough attention. It is up to us to keep them free from danger. I know accidents do happen, but when we hear about them so frequently, something seems very wrong.

Sally,
All good thoughts go out to you hoping your recovery is swift and complete...hubby is good to take over "Chipper Duty" - hope you'll be back up to full speed soon.

I hope Pado is back soon too.

Thank you for the well wishes. It has now been 11 days since surgery. I helped my sweet hubby bathe Trudy, my little dog today.

He is so sweet with the pets. Chipper likes him more that ever now, but she is still my sweet little green buddy.

It will take weeks to get strong again, but I am finally feeling better. I came home from the hospital with a HORRID cold. Coughing and sneezing all day is PAINFUL.http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v492/Sally11/birdpixelSally.gif

I private messages him a while back saying we all missed him.

He wrote back yesterday. He has been very busy with work issues and setting up a hime office (i think he meant "home" office).

It made him feel missed! :) Just wanted to update you guys so you know he's still around ;) :D I don't think he noticed the thread yet. lol

I'm still alive  .... thanks for the thread, its nice to be missed I must say :D

I've just been extremely busy with work and setting up a home office and trying to adjust to working from home - I'm not quite there yet but am working on it and the birds aren't helping :p

To add an additional layer of stress - Penny has begun laying. I'll start a new thread in Parrotlet Breeding (http://talkparrotlets.com/forumdisplay.php?f=11) for this topic.
