My little baby got his leg ring stuck on a toy. It was swollen and bleeding abit when i found him. This happened two days ago. NOW-it looks like some of his nails are gone and its been bleeding more. I just had the thought that maybe his mate is chewing on them. Can this happen? Or is he chewing on his foot. HELP!

Have you taken him to an avian vet? That would be the best thing to do. ASAP

Its very possible that its his mate. If one wants to breed and the other doesn't they usually try to force their mate by biting there feet. They well keep biting until they draw blood, or even worse they may bite off their mates toes or maybe even kill their mate. The best thing to do is to separate them and as BeakerLuvsBunsen said get to an avian vet as soon as possible. They will most likely put the bird on antibiotics to stop any infection.
Are the birds male and female?

They may also bite at each others feet if they are in a cage that is too small or there is not enough feed bowls and both are too stubborn to share.
Like what the others said.... to the avian vet you must go. There is nothing you can do at home for this. For the time being I would separate the 2 for now, review the cage that you have them sharing (measuring the length, width, and depth, along with height, and seeing if there are enough perches and food bowls.
He really should see an Avian vet as soon as possible - from what you said about him getting his leg band stuck on a toy this could be stemming from this. His leg may hurt and he is biting at it - a vet should be consulted.

My boy is doing better. He is on antibotics and we think his mate or friend (who has a foot fetish), was trying to clean his foot too well after it getting swollen from getting stuck on the toy. They are not of breeding age-under 5 months, both of them. They are in separate cages now until his foot heals up.
He has lost the end off 2 of his toes-i cannot believe this all happened sooo fast-i feel bad that i did not prevent it somehow. They share a large cage and have lots of food available.:(
