Hi,

So Mom's has been letting a fuss about Keiko being "isolated" from everyone in my room. She was wanting to let Keiko in the Living Room, but Kiwi and Sonnie are in there as well.

She was wanting to cover up the cage where Keiko could see Kiwi... this is just the right side of the cage.

I am afraid though about this because I have been making great strides with Keiko and he is still very young. It's a risk I think.

--Opinions? Would it be okay because Mom is saying that I "isolate" him too much, "all alone and nothing to look at but the confinds of your room. Poor bird" --I don't like it when she does this or says this like I am a bad caregiver.

Is Keiko done with his quarantine? It is good for the bird to give them something to look at: window, people, other animals. If you decide to take Keiko out, though, I wouldn't count on the cage covering to conceal Kiwi's presence -- as soon as they hear the call of another parrotlet they'll keep calling out until they find each other.

Yah, about a month since I have had him.

I mostl take him out for a good 2 hours or more everytime I come home, but on the weekends he is out continously. :) I cover Kiwi's front part of the cage when I am socializing with Kieko. I really didnt do that quarentining to just one room deal because the whole house has the same air and everything.

They call to each other across the house a lot. Thank-you :D

Anymore opinions??

Try it, but keep have the 1 on 1 time with him, if they are calling each other, this could calm that down. If you make the time with him "special" he will look forward to this time.. I mean treats, scritches, things he likes. I thought we would loose the closeness with SweetPea when we got buddy, for a short while I did, but she flys over to me now, for our 1 on 1 time.

Wish I could be helpful, but Bitsy is an "only bird".
