As some of you know I'm looking for a friend for Gwen, but am running into problems as to find a good breeder. I was looking at Parrotlet World last night and thought that it looked like a mill type of place and then I also read alittle about them on here with peoples experiences with them. So they are defently not an option. So I was wondering if anyone knows of a good breeder that ships that is here in the west so the poor little bird would be all day on a plane. I'm not really big on having a bird shipped but right now it looks like that's our only option. And I 'd like to be able to get one before it gets too hot. So if anyone has had good or bad expereinces with a breeder please let me know. So any help is very much appreciated.

Don't know of any in your area - hopefully somebody will.

Shipping is probably expensive also I'd assume.

I'm actually looking for one that will ship since there's none in my area. So as long as it's here somewhere in the west I'd feel comfortable having it shipped. And so far from some sites I think shipping runs about an extra $100 or so.

I would first check the Internationalparrotletsociety.org site to see if there are any breeders in your area. Look under members ads, the members are very helpful. If they don't have any birds available the can at least direct you to a reputable breeder in your area that has available birds.

Well after searching for what seems like hours I have found a breeder in MT. So not too far away just around 8 hours one way. But my mother-in-law only lives 3 hours away from the breeder. I have yet to call and see if they have any available since we don't have the extra money right now.
