Does anyone know if grape vine is ok? Its ok for my reptiles..

Yes, I have it for my guys- it's one of their favorite perches. You just have to be careful with the ones for reptiles. You don't want to use ones that have been used by reptiles- I think salmonella or something that normally is found on reptiles can be bad for your birds.

yes i know that i can not use my meleons vines.. i actually am a manger of a reptile store.. and know all about that kinda stuff but i have my own grape vines ive grown.. i will be using this from now on ( well as soon as the frost goes away i can clip my vines) :o) does a small happy dance

Yesterday we got some grape vines out of the woods behind the house here and today I soaked them in some bleach water (a friend with three greys told me to do that) I've rinsed them, and she said I should bake the wood in the oven too, just to be on the safe side. But I'm afraid it'll make the grapevine very, very brittle. She suggested the same routine, including the baking with all gathered wood perches. And I just read on a website yesterday that poplar, maple, apple were all ok. Sassafras too, but double check me on that. But seems like it was safe, cause I thought about how lucky that was because there's all kinds of sassafras around my mom and dads house. Oh, and walnut is good too, if you whittle the bark off it, which there's also an abundance of around here. I'm just so excited about going to get my girl tomorrow, I don't know how to act!! But I am psyched.

sorry, should've mentioned this in my other post, but redwood wasn't recommended as perches..nor was cedar. Certain pines yes, but not cedar or redwood.
