Prices for Parrotlets (normal color, not mutations) range anywhere from $100.00 to $300.00 each, depending on the species and area of the country. This makes them affordable for the beginner who does not want to make a large investment. Parrotlets are easy to breed if a few simple guidelines are followed.
Two birds set up for breeding must be a true pair of any given species. I have seen many hybrids produced by people not knowing how to differentiate between the species. Only true pairs should be allowed to reproduce if the Parrotlet species are to thrive.
