Not sure exactly.

One day she was acting like something was in her eye. I tried washing it our by giving her a shower, initially it seemed better but after an hour or two, the eye was bothering her again. We went to the vet the next day and he diagnosed it as a torn inner eyelid - we are not sure how it happened. The Vet suggested that the best thing to do was to remove the section that was flapping. He also stated that it would involve putting her under - which I found amazing considering her size.

We consented; he did the procedure while we waited. I think it lasted only 15 minutes or so. Her eye was VERY irritated after the procedure, but she was as good as new a day or two later.

If you have the right vet, anything is possible!
