:D I got her a bird bath to attach to her cage, no luck, tried giving her a different shallow bowl, no-go either, then I decided, ok, shower it is! Some P'lets have an aversion for bird baths it seems and after all, they are used to showers in the wild right? :p So I used my bic shaver as a small perch for her to stand on, put her on a ledge and let the warm water splash down on her gently. She just turned her face up toward the water and closed her eyes, she really seemed thoroughly enjoy it! This is great and it was a bonding experience! She will be a healthy, shiny, clean bird after all! Yey horay for Lola!!!
Showering was the only way to get my bird wet for over a year. Just like yours, she learned to close her eyes and point into the mist-- soo cute. Anyway, she finally got interested in splashing in her water dish, and now plays in her own table fountain. That's cute, because she asks me to fill it when she's in the mood for a splash. I still take her to the shower because she doesn't get very wet when she bathes herself.

I don't literally take mine in the shower-- I mist them like a birdie shower
with a spray bottle

I tried that today... he wasnt that scared of water anymore.... seeing me in the water, I think it calmed him... I just am not use to having someone in the shower with me. I don't really think it is something that I am willing to do anymore.

Aww, I think it's cute to have little birdies in the shower. They really seem to know its ok once they see their birdie parent showering too.:p

Aww! I was so excited when Mr. Crumbs had his first bath today!
I usually take him in the shower every 3 days. When I changed his water today, he tried to bathe in his little water thing. (He could barely fit his wing in there.
Right when I saw him do that, I thought, 'Ooh! It's finally time for him to take his first bath!"
So I ran downstairs to the kitchen and grabbed a clear shallow bowl and placed it in his cage. He was nipping at the bowl for the first few seconds and then he hopped right in.
So cute, and he's about 2 months old. =)
Thats great Mr. Crumbs is taking baths already. :)
