What happens when you travel. I just got my baby this week and already i might have to go out of town next weekend. There will always be someone at my house but not somebody he is bonding with. He hasnt even bonded to me yet. Will this be a problem?? I do have to travel occasionally and cannot take my bird, what will happen with this situation?
thanks for all the help in advance.

I usually have my boyfriend watch them or my parents If I have to go away
my father was there when I initially got them so they are pretty calm around him and they love my boyfriend because they see him all the time.
Maybe you can get a pet-sitter>? sometimes you can ask the breeder
for a recommendation
Baring family and friends -
Call around to Avian Veterinary offices, maybe they have referrals for bird sitters - some may even offer the service.
Some bird stores board - but I'm always wary of them since there are so many birds sharing a common space - If I absolutely had to board I would make sure they require a Health certificate for all birds they board. If they don't require a Vet health certificate one sick bird could infect all others.
Lastly, and IMO the best bet is another companion Parrotlet. That way you can leave them at home. I have a pair and I feel comfortable leaving them together at home. I've left them for long weekends and anything more I have a friend who stops in to feed and water. The birds are content being together - there is not stress of being in a different environment and I've had zero ill effects.
