I have started putting Chipper in her 2nd cage at night. I used to roll her big one into my bedroom, but now she is sleeping in her other cage. The first one she had.
Anyway, two nights ago, she had a snack of some Topper seeds and water as I held little cups for her. She ate on me and sat flat, like a duck. SO CUTE. I sang to her as usual, then I was going to put her inside and she gave me a BIG KISS!!!!!!! I almost cried. I get kisses, but this was so deliberate and special!:p

You really have a special bond with Chipper! :) I on the other hand have be getting Nipped on the back of my neck lately OUCH!
Anyway, I think I want to try this tonight. I am up to around midnight with the TV on, but, Riddler's cage gets covered at 9pm, I do not think he is sleeping with the TV on for those 3 plus hours.
Do I need to put water and food in the cage?

Bed time at our house is special too. Paulie has a snack about 8:00. When he gets done with that he lets us know he is ready for bed. He says, "nite, nite, it's time" over and over until one of us takes him into our spare room and covers him for the night. Bedtime is the only time he ever says that. I'd say he knows just what it means

Marce, I have a little dish of water and seed in there. It really is a good idea to give them quiet sleep. I know I can't sleep with any noise at all. We all stay healthier with quality sleep.
Paulie, you little cutie! Saying Night Night is so sweet!
We still get the neck nips! ha.

Kiwi loves her bedtime routine. We were out very late last night..took the boys to see TransSiberian Orchestra which was spectacular. Unfortunately couldn't find anyone to come in last night to cover the birds. So, we kept the light on and Kiwi was partially covered. We arrived home last night at 11:30 to hear Kiwi call for us. She had put herself to bed but welcomed a quick snuggle before lights went out. It's so precious when they look forward to that time.
Sally -- I love the pic of Chipper nibbling on your button. So adorable.

I should've did this last night! :( I was too busy browsing in another Parrotlet forum for the 1st time and got side tracked! Then on top of it; I ran into Sally and Chipper and seen Chipper's cage again.......:o ......Needless to Say Chipper is quite pampered...LOL
So my day was a breeze and I ended up on the right side of town with little traffic and I got him some new toys today. Also not to mention tonight festivities might keep him up late tonight. I am quite sure yelling out the window my Bird needs to get his sleep won't stop any fireworks...LOL
But, I will be back on it tommorrow night, I got to break MY BAD habit now!
