Day three of training Jaws to like Jewel, and Jewel not to be scared of Jaws.
He fought for his favorite perch, but finally let her on.

Great pictures and video :)
Its a very good sign they are feeding (wiggle dance :p ) each other - they like one another and that is a very good start ;)
My male fed my female the moment they met and they have a great bond formed so you are off to a great start.
As I mentioned in a previous post I kept mine separated only because my male was fully flighted and the breeder clipped my female before I got her - if both were fully flighted I would have put them together sooner - I felt she was at a disadvantage and I didn't have the heart to clip him :)
I'm so glad to see your two hitting it off so well - Great Job !!

He is flighted and she is clipped, but his flying is worse than her clipped flighting lol. It's really funny to watch a clipped bird fly better than a non clipped bird. He's learning from her a lot.
I just successfully trained her to step up, here are some pictures. She learns by watching jaws. (And of course corn chips.) He likes the chips, she seems to love sweet fruits.

Cute :) she is a jewel, isn't she? And that neck dance was awesome!
That is awesome Vexar - you are doing a bang up job and getting really positive results quickly -
It really does help with one already tamed. When I got my female (hand raised but wild) I really had no plans on taming her since I got her for the male - but she is now tame and loves human company all because of just following the male :) (but that took months and not days like you :p
Congratulations on your progress !

Thanks a bunch. It helps not having to work for now. Unfortunately my g/f is missing out on the fun, but she'll have a surprise when she gets home today, that's for sure!
I'm actually hoping to get hired here at a local wild bird shop. They have a beautiful Blue and Gold Macaw that goes crazy for me every time I come in. Now he won't let me leave the place ><!
Edit: Olea, she is a Jewel ^^. I had to hold back from laughing the entire time of the wiggle neck.

lol! The birds go crazy listening to themselves too. I replay the video and they start hopping around looking for other birds.

Is the 'wiggleneck' dance a good thing? Py has done that for my son when he visits...

Oh oh ! After seeing that great video, I don't think my little Kiki is a happy bird. He NEVER makes those cute sounds or dances like that....NEVER !!! If I take him out of the cage to be with me, he just flies right back to the cage unless I go to a room without the cage and then he stays with me....but he sure isn't happy like those two little guys !!! Do you think there is something wrong ???

Oh, those pics and video are awesome! I've never seen a neck dance before -- it kind of looks like they've gone insane!
