hi, I just got my new baby Parrotlet, Giuseppe yesterday. He is just the cutest little guy!! I belong to the Parakeet Board, I have four Keets, 2 English Budgies and 2 regular keets, and an African Grey, named Sully. This is my first Parrotlet. He was just weaned three days ago, and has been eating very good for me. I love these boards, you really learn so much, almost more than ya can from reading a book !! And it's great to talk to others with the same type of little bird. I'm glad to meet everybody!!! I'm gonna try to put a pic of little Giuseppe.

Hi Kelly -- welcome to the board! Your little guy is adorable..I have a green pacific parrotlet named Kiwi...she will turn one on Christmas Eve. We brought her home just days after she was weaned as well and she is so good for us. I have parakeets as well (3 of them) which I love. I've always had keets and Kiwi is our first parrotlet...I've learned so much from this board on the care of this breed. I hope you enjoy it as well. Again...welcome :)

He is adorable! How old is he? I have a Grey also (and a Macaw), and have had my Mexican Parrotlet just over a month. So, I'm learning all about these little beauties too.

Hi Kelly! Welcome to our board. You'll really like it here too. P'lets are way different from 'keets (I used to own a few when I was young). They are more like little parrots with more energy. Giusseppe is quite cute. Are you still having trouble getting him to eat? What are you feeding him? The folks here are really informative on feeding.

Thanks for the welcome!!!!! I'm sure happy I found this board, coming to these boards help me a great deal. It seems every time I have a question, there is always someone out there that knows the answer!!! You know, I didn't even ask when my little new guy was hatched, I'll have to go back and ask the breeder, I noticed Rebecca knows when her little Kiwi was hatched. Also, everyone's little sweeties are just the cutest things!! I am sure I am gonna love being a P'let owner. I had never even seen one until last week!!! They sure are alot different from my African Grey & the Keets.
