Safe item to add to toys

Hi-
I am making some toys and found some children's plastic "diamond" rings. I think the birds would love them but I am worried because they have a silver coating to make the ring part itself shiny silver. They are sold for children but am wondering could the bird abuse take that off?

Yes, they can eat it off. I would go for something else. Would love to see pictures of your toys when you are done. :)

A lot of children's toys come from China and have lead in them. Unsafe for children and unsafe for birds. I wouldn't use them.

That is what I thought!! Thanks:). I made a fleece cuddler thingy for the parrotlet because she was in w other birds always at the shop so hoping she feels less Lonly. And a bead toy for fun:)
