Parrotlet Calendar?

Just curious if TalkParrotlets did something like this?

I am on a Gecko forum and every year, starting around October they accept submissions to put together a calendar for the following year. It's species specific so it'd be cool if the calendar was parrotlets only. Members could submit their photos with a month. Multiple photos for multiple months could be entered but only one photo per month and member could win and have only one photo put on the calendar. Leaving options open for others to win too. The other members could vote for their favorite photos. There was no "prizes" but just the name of the bird put on the calendar and the owner, and location if the member wanted. The calendars then were put up forsale and you could get one shipped to you for a $5.00 donation to the site, and the purchaser would have to pay shipping.

It was fun on the gecko forum and I think would be fun to do for the parrotlet forum too.

Evelyn, how would I contact Dave?

I'm not sure if there is enough active members for it to pay off doing something like that? On the gecko forum there was close to 30 000 people. I mean maybe we could do a poll and see if people would be interested in it? Or even have something like the calendar, but have it just be through the forums. Like every month the winning parrotlet picture would be shown for that month as a sticky? Or something?

It was just really fun on the gecko forums and got people to be active and taking pictures of their pets to correspond to a certain theme. Easter, Vday, Thanksgiving, Christmas...Spring/Summer/Fall..Etc.. Some people got so creative! It was crazy and entertaining. I realize it would take time and effort on the forum mods part...But some of the photos generated by the calendar contest were hilarious and some were breath taking beautiful. I think it'd be a great way to show off Parrotlets and how fun they can be, with goofy, funny, fun photos.

I also personally wouldn't mind having a parrotlet only calendar to stare at all year :)

On the forum home page, look under Test Zone, you will see Forum Leaders, click on that and you can pm him or send him an email. A Parrotlet Calendar would be nice.
