I know I can't have one . . . but I want one. . . a goffin cockatoo. . . I don't have the time for one for the next couple of years, but I made the mistake in telling my partner that I wanted one. I got a stern lecture of no more birds, but they aren't that loud. . . and they DANCE~
so now I'm cold. I'm cold and outside. I'm cold, outside, and still wanting a goffins cockatoo.
(btw it's very unlikely I will get one b/c my quakers and p'lets take so much time in my life)

They are so cute, but too loud and dusty for me. I just enjoy havcing one tiny and quiet birdie. I like giving her lots of time too. Maybe you will have one at some point.

It is always my birdie fantasies to have a Goffin Cockatoo. It is probaly going to be a long, long time though. I just want one bird at a time, but with Kiwi's life span and all being high up there. He would be too much of a good friend to replace.
I don't really think a goffin cockatoo is meant for me, but it might be...
I believe, you are just like my sister, you will get one. She is in love with those types of birds who dance and act crazy!!

I hear you catfish. I want a cockatoo. As a student I dreamed of a black redtail cockatoo (cost as much as a car), or a mollucan (both real loud). But I'm keeping it realistic. You always think you'll have more time, but after finishing school, I've got less time. I'm just waiting to get my parrotlet (likely next weekend):) But still fantisize about a huge temparture controlled avaiary with a pair of black redtail 2's, a pair of hycithin macaws, pair of black plam 2's, pair of mullucans, pair of rose breasted 2's, pair of hawk head parrots, pair of major mitchel 2's, a pair of goffins, and a pair of african greys. Yes, it's a big list, and there'd be no way of spending enough time with each bird, but it's a fantasy list.;)

That sounds like a Zoo..seals in the second bathroom and the monkey cage out back behind the garage....lol
I know,
I stop by the bird shop every month or so. I've wanted to take home a green-winged macaw, a grey, several cockatoos, a blue-front amazon, a orange-winged amazon,
Oh, and the latest absolutly cool, a Hahn's Macaw.
Don't do it! Unless you're sure the new bird, and the current birds, won't suffer from lack of attention. I'm thinking about volunteering at a bird rescue in order to quench my thirst for all the birds I can't take home. That'll teach me!
