What is your favorite recipe for your birdies? I havent yet cooked anything other than pasta for mine but I was wondering how many of you cook and bake for your little guys.

Kiwi likes cooked oatmeal with dried fruit (cranberries, raisins, blueberries) cooked in along with a sprinkling of cinnamon.

Her favorite is the buffet of Beak Appetit (particularly Carribean Crunch or Nuts for Alfredo), along with kale, carrot, chunk of corn on cob with a strawberry or piece of cantelope.

She also likes a slice of plain whole wheat toast and cooked egg.

I do bake birdie muffins and add baby food applesauce (vs milk) and a jar of baby food sweet potatoes, chopped veggies and chopped pecans.

Chipper loves the Teil cookies I make, Birdie cornbread, I add veggies and Goldenfeast to that. She likes Beak Appetie, and I make a mix of couscous, Goldenfeast, seeds, veggies and some water. I microwave that. I make muffins with banana and apple and oatmeal too. Chipper likes oatmeal and apple.

Paulie likes birdie bread that is different each time I make it. I include baby food veggies, oats, pellets, egg, wheat germ, and some kind of fruit. Paulie is not very fond of fruit, but he has begun to eat it since I have been putting in the bread. Even tried finely chopped apple for the first time......progress!

Bitsy's favorite is the birdie bread I made that is different each time. As birdiemom said, I can sneak all sorts of things into his diet that way.

Koki eats just about anyting. Buster eats pretty good as well. Butters is a very picky eater. She eats a little bit of most things but the majority of what she eats is seed. She will now take soaked or sprouted seed as well as ripe seed.

The following recipie they all devour. Koki will not take her head out of the bowl till it's gone. I came up with this a week or two ago and they love it.

Flame-pricot

Add each of the following, one at a time, to a high speed mini food processor;

2 dried apricots (chop till it's like paste).
1 tbs wheat germ (or oat bran; chop till it's like sticky crumbles).
1 tbs dried chili pequins (or other dired chili pepper; chop some more).
1 tbs flax seed (or sesame seed; chop some more).
1 15-minute hard boiled egg with shell (chop, chop, chop).
