Posting Pictures

I had a terrible time trying to size my picture. It was either the size of a postage stamp or it filled the whole page. Even when I would re-size it, it would look fine but when I hit preview post, the picture would be super large again!

Frustrated....can you help?

If you post the pictures on a site like photobucket.com, you don't need to resize.
All you do them in include the url of the picture in your post.
Or you can "embed" the photobucket image into your post using the .. tags.

Do we have to find a tertiary source like Photobucket to store our photos to show in this forum? It seems like I should be able to upload from my computer files and store them on the albums for my account here, not proving to be successful...Can't even seem to upload my profile photo.

I had the problem of I'm sorry do to an error we cant upload you photo. so what I do to show off my babies is up load them to like face book, right click then select copy image url then I come back here and click the insert link button (on top of the white box where you put all of your text) then past my link and then I hit ok.

The same thing happens to me. I don't know why, but I think the preview button resets the size of the pictures. If I don't preview and just post, my pictures are just fine.

I'm trying to put up a picture too but was getting the message "upload failed", but I'm testing with this post to see if it actually worked because when I click on my profile, the picture is showing. :confused:

edit - Didn't work. No picture with my name. Hmm.
2nd edit - Dopey me. I was trying to post the picture in the wrong place. I found it - Avatar - still got the "upload failed" message, but I see my picture under my name!

I've only had luck with photobucket, it works like a charm. I just insert the image right on my post instead of using the links. I've never been able to upload them from my computer even after 'resizing' them. :confused: Photobucket rid me of the frustration of trying! :o

Thanks Tiki Baby! I have a photobucket account so I'll try that next time. By the way, I love the name Tiki for your little bird. That's adorable!
