Hi guys!
It's been a while. How has everyone been?
I've been pretty good, and there has been a LOT of changes in my life, but me and my little Quaker are doing well :)
Well, I went to the humane society the other day with a friend (BIG MISTAKE) and I fell in love with this BEAUTIFUL Seagreen lovebird.
I adopted him today, with my parents blessings!
His name was Java, but we changed it to Miami because of his colours. He is fully flighted, three years old, and such a SWEETHEART. As soon as I opened his cage he came out and jumped onto my shoulder and cuddled.
The only thing is he has something called Polyfolliculitis. Which is when more than one feather grows out of a follicle, so he gets really itchy and plucks. So he isn't fully feathered, but I still think he is gorgeous.
I was told it is genetic, and I shouldn't have anything to worry about with Hanzo.
The girl who adopted him out to me also said she had a few lovebirds with it, and her other birds are okay.
Does anyone know anything about it?
